Welcome to my Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training (TNT) web page. Over the past 6 months, I've be training to race walk the Dallas White Rock 1/2 marathon on November 1, 2003. TNT provided my training for the event in return for a little fundraising. With your help and support, I was able to raise over $1200!!! Thank you all so much for believing in me and for being so generous for this very worthy cause. I'll be walking for my honored heroes (survivors in remission): Landry, Duncan, Adam and Jeff. I'll also be walking in the memory of Janice Avon Hansen (the mother of Jodi Walters, one of the TNT runners), and for Kay Bourque's father (who passed away in 1972).

UPDATE (Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003): I did it! I finished my first 1/2 marathon. Don't let anyone tell you this is easy. At about mile #10, I wanted to lay down on the ground and give up! But thanks to Michelle, my walking partner in crime, I was able to hobble across the finish line. Check out the pics from the Halloween pasta party and the race on my photos page!
